Puyallup Drag Strip

Postby charger.rt » Sat Jun 10, 2006 11:01 pm

I am looking for information on Puyallup Drag Strip that was in Washington State. I don't know how long it has been closed down, but I know it was in operation in the 60's and 70's. I own a 68 Charger that was raced there in the late 60's and am looking for any information I can find about the track. Does anyone have any info on it? Any photos?

A small world for sure...I was there, teaching a class of Illinois Nat'l Guard or Reserve guys how to blow up stuff with C4...I see a face that I know...When I was a kid, 13 or 14, I had an afternoon paper route...Rode my bike and threw the papers up on the porch...Anyway, it turns out that I used to deliver to this guy's parents house...When I went around for collections he would sometimes come to the door and pay me for the paper... :D If Leon went through AIT between July-Dec., 1969, we might have crossed paths...His mos would have been 11b or 11c :D
