Need Help With My Work Van

Postby Bob Kraemer » Mon Oct 26, 2009 7:52 am

I have a 1993 Ford E250 work van, when I start it I get a series of 3 short beeps, pause then 3 more beeps. The beeps happen about 3 to 5 times then stops.
Any idea what is causing this?

Are the beeps coming from inside (dash) or outside the van?

Bob, Does the Van have a Factory Security System (Alarm, Keyless Entry) or aftermarket system? If it does, it might be that and might need to be reset. I ran into this problem with Ford E-Series Vans in the past when i would upgrade their Security System with power locks on the side and rear doors. I did a bunch of these for two local Ford Dealerships in the Southern Maryland area, Bill Pratt's part of town, when i use to work down there.

Does it seem to run OK still??

After Market CD players make that noise when the power is turned off to them to remind you to take the faceplate. Just a guess,,,,
