Legendary UDRA Racer Tom Baum The Bomber passed away Oct 27

 I just got word from Barry Kuhlmann UDRA Legend Tom Baum "The Bomber"died of heart failure Oct. 27th. Tom was a neat guy a decicated racer and always fun to be around. 8) The "Bomber" was known for his blown Alky dragster the "Xecutioner" :) Tom was one of the last grass roots low buck racers. Much like the late Cid Sealy "The Moline Mad Man"

Imagine -those two together a  gain!

At least it's good to know "The Bomber" will be waiting for me with a funny BS story when I see him again! I can hear him now, "Hey Animal----------- "
It has been quite a ride!

From all I've heard, Tom was one of those great Midwest racers in the mold of Animal Jim. I wish I'd had a chance to meet him. bp

...Baum was an actual hot-rodder in an era of store-bought performance. It makes me sad that not only have we lost a great participant...but the attitude that built this sport along with him...
