Those are my thoughts too. Thinking of those in harms way.
Hope they can return home safe and soon.

Thanks for posting back Jean, It's a shame others don't remember or realize what this day means. :(

A little more info in your post may have provided more responses. For my part, I am just now logging in and of course, I'm continually thankful for not only those brave men and women at Pearl Harbor but also anywhere else they have served.

My Mother died on this day 22 years ago. I kind of have all of it mixed up in my emotions. It was a poetic departure for her. She was part of the generation that fought and won that war. I am named after my Father's best friend who was killed in that war, Johnny Connett. To me It is the most significant catastrophe in history, and the world has yet to fully recover from its effects. We had to go in, and we had to win. I pray for our troops every day and I pray that another war of such magnitude will never happen again. God Bless America. WC1

I always remember this day. I'll also always remember September 11, 2001.
Just because I don't post about it doesn't mean I don't care.
I think about our troops and veterans all year long, not just on certain days and I thank God for what they have done and are still doing.
Many, many, years ago I was one of those troops, serving to the best of my ability.
