Hi back in the early 70's my brother owned a 1966 Pontiac GTO funny car for a short time. It started out as Don Gay's Infinitey 2 funny car , it was sold to Dick Stokes and the name was changed to Blue Bandit. A longer front end was added. There is a picture on the Pontiac Heaven website. It is the only picture I have ever seen .Does anyone have any information about this car or pictures.

The car later went on to be one of the most beautiful GTOs ever, the infamous "Godfather".

Yes I'm interested in pictures of when Dick Stokes owned it, There is a picture on the Pontiac heaven website that shows it as Stokes /Marinan Blue Bandit II.
The car in that picture is painted exactly as when we had it
We had the car probably in 73 or 74 for a brief period. My brother sold it to a person around Olney Ill. This person has since moved to Texas and still owns the car. My brother made contact with this person last year a tried to buy it , but it wasn't for sale. The man who has the car said Don Gay had also tried to buy it.
We never raced it but I can remember playing in it as a kid and would like to find some pictures.
I didn't know about it becoming the Godfather GTO. Thank you for any help.I would love to have a picture of this car as the Blue Bandit II

I just saw a photo on facebook this morning

I posted that on facebook. I found it on the Pontiac Heaven website. I found 3 or 4 more on a website called H.A.M.B.. they had a listing call Chicago boys looking for Blue Bandit funny car ,there were several interesting posts about memories and about Dick Stokes

This is as close as I can get...Never got a look at the flopper, but saw the 55 a few times...

I saw Dick and the Blue Bandit GTO a couple of times running with the Midwest Injected Funny Car group, but having looked through my photos don't find one.
