......... I like to see the NFC getting the exposure and am looking forward to watching them on TV.....BEST OF LUCK TO ANYTHING DRAG RACING!! 8)
Congrats to the Funny Cars guys.Heard they had the crowd on their feet and were the highlight of the event. Special congrats to Jake Jacobsmeyer and crew on the performance and hard work.I heard those guys were definately the A-Team this weekend and put on a great show with every pass they made.
It will be interesting to see if their show can carry the events as IHRA is banking on.
A heavily sportsman oriented "sanctioning body" having a closed field nostalgia show as their flagship still strikes me as strange.
Guess we'll see.

Thanks for posting the photos. Henry's Jungle car looks great. 8)

I am glad Jeff is OK after the big fire. It is too bad about Bullet Bob's new Vette.

Jake and crew did a fantastic job of 6.20'ing them to death. They are a great bunch of guys. 8)

Well no doubt, at least to this casual drag fan, IHRA is doing what hey can do to keep some wheels turning. I've no doubt you guys know way of to many race teams collecting dust now because of the lousy economy. I know I got my $30 dollars worth of entertainment Friday night. All the teams were so welcoming, even when I was jamming a XXXX camera in their way. I sure hope it was a financial success for all, so they can do it bigger and better next time.

Speaking of cameras, since no one said I couldn't post pics...

..more to come later. It`s quantity,...and not quality, when it comes to photography, for me!

Thanks for posting the great pics. Racers are racers and it's good to see these guys out there. I hope everything works out to get the racers and fans happy while keeping the lights on. bp

"God Bless the tracks that provide good weekly racing."...cuz that's what we can count on...

This whole deal reminds me of NHRA Division meets in the mid '80's. Just my imagination? :|

John,
A question or 4 if you'll oblige.
How long were you at the track?
Have you recently become a drag fan or are you a long time "casual" fan?
Did you take in any of the class racing or were you more interested in the "wow" cars ?
Any concern that some of the passes were not overly competitive or were you content at the spectacle(it is....no doubt! 8) and less about close racing competition?
As I'm an old school fan(seasoned senior  ) it interest to me to get perspective of folks that are fans of the new format and why.
Great pics !
