I already have three feet here in Westminster, Md. Calling for another two feet by Wednesday. My twins haven't been to school since last Thursday. The way things are going, they probably won't be back to school until next week. Dave

I just don't know how you folks do it. My hat's off to you. When it gets like this, I worry about y'all, but I know you adapt and get through it. It's still something I can't fathom, having lived here all my life. We're lucky if we see snow every 5 or 10 years. It snowed here December 5th, I had to drive to Beaumont that day and play a gig there in a tent that night for $300. I was pretty chilly but I caught a chest cold the next week playing on a party boat on Galveston Bay. We get humidity year-round and it makes cold weather feel twice as cold and hot weather feel twice as hot. But man...that snow up there looks scary...stay warm and safe! WC1

Yeah, this is CLEVELAND snow... the kind we got when I was a kid. We don't get it down here in Maryland all that often. I remember once in the mid 80s, but nothing like this. Actually, it sleeted for a while tonight, but now it's stopped. Should kick off again tonight and be at its worst during morning rush hour tomorrow. Of course, there won't really be a rush hour because most of the governments and schools will be closed. bp

WildCat, I envy you dude. I could wait 5 or 10 years to see snow again. I SO want to move to a mild winter state.
We're getting 7 to 9 here. They already closed schools for Wed. The wind picked up and the snow is a dry-powder so drifting will be a big problem.

We ended up with 6'' or so. Sky is clear, they say it's spoz' to be windy today but it looks calm so far. Might be windy out in the country.

Sounds like DeKalb IL had a 4.2 earthquake last night?

I just went out and measured what we've got since yesterday afternoon and it looks like 5-6'' and still snowing and blowing. May as well wait till afternoon when it's supposed to stop before using the snowblower again...........

Went out to clean off the truck a while ago.Temp 25deg. Looks like about 6in new and they say maybe another 4-6 or so.NW Winds are getting crazy.Son just called and said they got 45kt winds recorded at the Coast Guard station.Blowing sideways here.NWS Just posted another blizzard warning.
More building collapses occurring around town.
Heard an area fire station collapsed this morning on the stations brand new ladder truck.
Truck came thru this morning about 4am and workers drove poles into my yard to mark the fire hydrant.I had dug it out once but it was covered again.
6 weeks I'll be on the bay fishing and this will all be "beer talk".
BP,just heard the 301 bridge from Va to Md closed due to white out.Gang, this is a 2 mile long,2 lane bridge over the Potomac River.
