Fords At The Summit-with Animal Jim

Postby animal jim » Thu Jul 22, 2010 11:19 am

8) I am off to Norwalk, Oh. at midnight. Bill Bader contracted me back in Nov. to be fearured at his 2nd annual Fords At The Summit. I am to bring both Zeke my 79 Zephyr 80s Pro Stock Car and The Big Animal 57 Mercury-My first serious drag car (1969-1979) to be featured at that event.

I am contracted to make 3 solo runs with Zeke over the weekend. The Big Animal will just profile. :D

After Norwalk-I still have the 2010 World Series where I will make 2 Exhibition runs on Sat. night. 8)
Scott told me "We will mix it up a bit" He has also booked Beswick with the Tameless Tiger, Erick Larson with the Beswick Groc Getter Clone Tribute Car and The Shake Rattle and Run 57 Chevy. :o  I do not know which I will run against. :? :?:

For 2011-Zeke will only be available to run solo runs. Zeke will be 32 years old and is only certified for 7.50. And that is enough for that old car. It is the real thing. Exactly as I ran it in 1989! :!: A relic like me.

I'm tired of the pressure of pairing up with low 7 sec and high 6 sec clones that have 25E chassis stickers and modern equipment. :?

My old Zephyr gave too much over it's hayday years to need to make excuses for it.

THAT IS WHY BILL BADER WANTS ONLY SOLO RUNS
It has been quite a ride!

Thanks for showing up AJ! :D Twenty years is too long to have seen you last before this weekend. My Son Graham has your hero card up. We enjoyed all the Chineese Carp stories/etc.
AJ is so down to earth. He is a breed apart and above the new guys IMHO.

Planning a trip out to Nebraska later this year. Maybe stop by with a six of Honey Wheats if time is right.

Warmest and best regards to ya and the crew.
