Part of me says it would be cool to travel overseas, but a bigger part says stay in the ol' USA. .

Many beautiful & historical places, but I'm with you Pro.

Thanks Nancy. Here you go Zap.

Here's a pic. of the left choirs stairs. Other than the stair steps, and the poles (painted carpet roll cores) everything white is CNC cut styrofoam.

The living room backdrop on stage.

The Christmas tree was a maple tree a few days ago. I chopped the branches off, drilled some holes in the trunk and added artificial evergreen branches. Fake Christmas trees without the branches LQQK a like like a dowel rod oddly enough, Real evergreens get a little sappy when you cut into them, "The reason for using a maple tree trunk".

Tree transformation. Sorry, some of these pics. are a little fuzzy. Pocket camera from the back of the room in the dark

You can see the background being changed below as the tree is being transformed.

I didn't want to use a wooden dowel in a "just cut down" green tree. I was afraid it wood' stick. So I press fit a couple sleeves in the trunk with an indexing pin so the tree wouldn't spin on the base.

Same idea for removing the top of the tree to form the cross. It's worked for 2 performances, 2 more to go.

[To tie this whole project to drag racing, the sleeves in the tree trunk were cut from the first anti-roll bar I had on the "Z". It was a little too sloppy for that app. but works great for a Christmas tree].
[The 'Z' got a new Mark Williams unit with bearings, much better app. there too].
