Good morning! As an appraiser of vintage race cars I am tasked with recovering what each accomplished. Such information contributes to a value-adder facet we call "Provenance". One of the really cool things about doing this is it helps to focus and quantify drag racing history.
My current assignment is to do that for Tom "Mongoose" McEwen's 1978 Corvette F/C, the car that won the U.S. Nationals in 1978.
The "Goose" was so busy doing that year that - quite frankly - he doesn't remember many of the details important to the car's "Provenance". Can you help? I will kick-off by consulting the DragList archive depths.
Here's an opportunity to participate in the focused cataloging of a car important in drag racing history. Credit will be given in my report to all who contribute verifiable information on major races entered, races won (or in which the car placed or finished well), Low E.T,'s, Top Speeds, magazine & trade articles and other event coverage whereat the car appeared or competed.
Thanks for your help.
