The Outside Dimensions of this Oil Filter are 7" wide, 7 3/4" long, by 3 1/4" thick. This filter assembly has a 6" filter element screen. We will be coming out with a smaller version that takes a 4" filter element screen and will work great for a fuel filter. It will also be a See Through Filter Assembly. The approximate dimensions will be 5" wide, 5 3/4" long, by 2 1/2" thick.

Thanks for all the posts-

Not much bigger than the Oberg I'm running - probably a little thicker.

I'm so used to pulling the Oberg apart after every run or 2 it's not that big a deal. I'd rather have a clean filter in there anyway - you can get a lot of rag fuzz and stuff in there that you really wouldn't be able to see through the window which can seriously restrict the filter. Plus a lot of times you need to be able to touch the chunk to see whether its something to worry about - is it a hard sliver of aluminum or is it a soft peice of babbit off the edge of a bearing.

One thing that looks coool is the air attachment - I might try adding that to my Oberg - if you can blow some of the excess oil back into the lines it wouldn't make such a mess when you split it open.

YES!! This Filter is a Great Idea!! And a part of our PATENT application is about the Air Fitting being able to drain the filter assembly so you do not leak oil.

We have been developing this filter for the last 4 years at great expense. Legally we have done everything possible to keep anyone from copying this idea. We will take legal action against anyone who infringes on our patent. Putting an air fitting onto an Oberg filter is infringing on our patent.

As for your concerns, your are able to see clear enough, even with dirty oil, to see everything in the filter. Also the more times you take the filter apart the seals around the filter element deteriorate, as everybody knows. The filter elements are not cheap. Our filter design will not wear out the filter element and make it possible to check the filter element when you don't have time to check your Oberg. Like in the later rounds of racing. There are other advantages to your engine by using our filter assembly.

Sorry if it seemed like I was digging on your filter - didn't mean it that way. I was just stating that personally I like to keep a clean filter in mine. That's why I have 4 screens so that I can change them out quickly and clean them later at my leisure.

I'll ignore your threat of suing me for drilling a hole in the side of my filter housing. If someone was going to start selling Obergs with air valves on them, by all means, chase after them. However, if I want to install an air valve on the side of a 10 year old filter that I own I think you're getting a bit over-excited.
