Hi Dave! The front page of draglist is reserved for photos that are posted ON draglist, but we are sure proud to put up a link on our Draglist Facebook page! That's done... bp

Dave looks like you saw a great show. I'm glad. I, on the other hand , made the wrong choice. I went to the far west side of Mich. to Martin US 131 Dragway to see a nice dragster show. I saw nothing - not one pass, momma nature started to rain on me about 1/2 hr before I got to the track, and it never stopped.

I grew up at Detroit Dragway - lots of fond memories, - made my first pass there - won my first trophy there - even set and held a track record (but thats a story in itself) LOL. I should have went to the reunion. :(

Great shots, thanks.

Sorry I'm late folks but last week was JUST NUTS! The DD Reunion at Milan was a really neat event. As you have seen from Ohio Dave's photos, the cars were both great and FAST! My part was to meet, greet and interview veterans from the past and that was quite fun! Got to interview several Ramchargers members, Milt Schornack of GTO fame, Roger Lindamood, the Ford crew of Dave Lyall, Bill Holbrook and Len Richter, plus Della and Bernie Wood. Also got my first "cackle" in the seat of Bill Porterfield's quite respectful restoration of a Dickie Harrell-driven 1970 Camaro funny car. Neat!

This one just keeps getting bigger and bigger! My thanks to Bill and Pam Kopolka for creating this event and to Michael G. Nastos - Milan's resident track announcer - without whose help my whole presence there would have been far less pleasurable.

Keep an eye open for next year's event in May 2012.

Thanks, Jon! Sounds like a great event. If I'm not misremembering the name, it seems to me that Mike Nastos and I corresponded years and years ago on drag racing trivia... great to hear that he's the announcer at Milan! bp
