What a super weekend!!

I just have to share this. It all started Friday evening with an cookout invite with Wheelz and Sharon. Grilled hotdogs and corn on the cob. Yummy!! Great time and great food with great friends! Thanks!!!

Saturday we went to National Trails Raceway for the Night of Thunder show. The plan was to hangout with Rocky, Bandit and the rest of the crew and give help if needed. Just as we were 30 miles from the track I recieved a phone call that KC Jones (Team Steam Jet Dragster) was short a crew member and was wanting to know if I would be interested in helping out. Me!! We got there and Kc went over the starting procedure, towing and suiting him up. Yep, I was nervous but stayed focused for the 3 run event. The only problem I had was remembering to pull out the wheel chock before we moved. Did you know jet dragsters don't have a parking brake? So as it turned out, Heidi got to crew for Rocky and I got to crew for KC. I have found, that not only am I addicted to alcohol and nitro, I need to add diesel to the list!

Thanks to Rocky, Bandit and the Solid Rock crew And to KC and his wife Linda for such a great time for the both of us!
I wouldn't trade all the money in the world for the people we've met in drag racing who have become our friends. It's priceless! Thanks.

It's always a really fun time when Draglist folks are on the grounds! This was no exception! We were going to put both Daryl and Heidi to work, but some jet car dude beat us to Daryl. We were lucky to get Heidi though! She made us look good in front of a very large crowd!
Lots of fans at this event. Very energetic also. We actually had a crowd standing around the car when we checked plugs and valves in between rounds! I can't wait for Marion when even more Draglisters show up!!

Congrats Daryl & Heidi, sounds like ya had an OUTSTANDING time. First Gorilli and Sharon...then Rocky and Bandit.....It just don't get no better.
