Have a great night. It was great to see you and Susan this weekend. Wow... still so impressed and grateful that you fly from BC to visit your draglist pals every years. I'm in Bowling Green, Ohio. Had a nice dinner with Emily, whose first week of sophomore college went well. Heading home to Maryland tomorrow. Denise must have felt like a widow this past few weeks... bp

What a weekend !!! Hmm where to start..? The lunch cruise was great, both the ride and the food. Then Fri. PM it was off to the track for a super afternoon of racing. then nite came and the BIG show started..WOW!!!
Now I had 3 things on my bucket list for this weekend . Fri. walking the pits I saw BP sitting with none other than Animal Jim. BP was kind enough to introduce me. (scratch one off the list)

Later, walking the pits we (Boyd & me) finally found the MSSM area. After asking around I got to meet Purple 66. (scratch # 2 ) He spent about 30 min with us, and had a very detailed talk with Novel T about his friends PRO Charger '66 Malibu.
#3 was not looking good as day two ended, till BP told me about a "meet & greet" on the starting line after the race. So instead of heading to the car we thought we would stop by. Well everyone was super tired so after the group pic some of us sat on some small bleachers. The announcer Brett Kepner was also tired and sat on the same bleachers, so I started introducing our group, by handle, he got quite a laugh out of that. You guessed it meeting Brett was #3 on the list. (scratch that off). So I made all three.

Now speaking of laughter, there was plenty through the weekend, but I think all would agree that the biggest & best took place at the annual good-by breakfast. First off we took the breakfast UP a notch this year, thanks to Susan and Linda. They found a great place right across from the hotel with a brunch buffet. Anyway near the end of the meal one of our charter members made a statement that...well....it brought the house down. Now It will not be repeted here , It's one of those "you had to be there" type things. Let me just say that my sides were sore from laughing so much. There may even be pics of me doing my "HAPPY DANCE". :D "What happens in Le Claire... stays in Le Clair" LOL

Other high points were:
getting to sit around the hotel looby with Animal Jim after the Fri. races listening to him talk was great.
Getting to sign the banner
enjoying TWO super nites of record breaking preformance
the starting line had teeth
the air was gtreat
hotel was nice
meals super.
BP working with Brett.

At the goodby brunch, it was unanimous, the DLN 8 will be at CORDOVA for the 60th WSOD 2013.

The only bummers were Jeff's first run had a small mis-cue that resulted in no time slip. The second attempt was rained out. So we all have to wait to see how the Camaro runs. I'm told they will soon test at RT 66.

It was great to have first timer Ohio Dave join us, I can't wait to see his pics.
