We're goin' to Cape Girardeau, Mo first night, then drivin' through Mark Twain National Forest on our way to Branson. The Cape is a couple hours out of the way, so it will confound Cheryl so she'll have a harder time figurin' out where we are headed. Mostly though, I want to take the back roads through the Forest preserve, should be scenic this time of year.
I'll send pics & reports along the way. We aren't leaving 'til Cheryl gets off work tomorrow (about 3pm).

Evening folkz. Had a cold for several days but life is still good.

Heard from Boyd's wife Susan and she wanted to let everyone know how he is doing:
Visiting with Boyd. He is on a lot of pain meds so can't concentrate enough to type or read. The operation was longer than expected ... Unless they started late. I couldn't see him until this morning but he is in pretty good spirits...of course he is drugged to the eyeballs. He got to eat chicken broth and Jello for lunch...yum. Have visitor now will keep you informed if things change

Howdy. 10:30pm Friday night. We just pulled into the Drury Inn, in Cape Girardeau, MO. We're beat. Had a couple large construction zones to go through that slowed us up about 45 min. See ya'll in the mornin'
