Hope all goes well @ the Doc's Jack.
No RT 66 for me this year Pro. Sadly I'm busy. Looks like Indy will be my next shot at a "BIG SHOW" event.
Yer' gonna' miss a goodun' ZAP. Might be a little on the warm side though.

Yer right sir, that would have been my first race with the laid back headers. And RT66 is the fastest fuel track in the country (imo) so 3.8's in F/C
are possible there. (sigh) You enjoy my friend. Yes it's gonna be hot, be sure to hydrate.

(and a full report is expected )

Good stuff. Had a long but fun day at York today. I was interviewing racers at the covered pavilion area. Saw lots of good cackles that are on Facebook.

Mornin'. Yup, I wuz' there ZAP. I'll get some pics. posted later today or tomorrow.
Here's 4 for now. There was a track cleanup just before the last pair. Trying to beat the crowd I left. As I was crossing behind the tunnel they had it cleared, so I got a few shots from there. Who knew I'd catch Brintney make that low e.t. pass.

Good Morning. Sort of.It's pouring rain right now. We were to be in a truck show at the New Truck Museum this morning, but we're dropping out. This afternoon and evening is the ALS BBQ/silent Auction. I guess we'll go rain or shine. It's supposed to clear up a bit.

Now wait a minute.......Boyd is at a truck show/BBq, BP is at York, Pro is at RT 66 watching them rotate the earth, and
Zap is going to a "couples baby shower" ....... What's wrong with THIS picture ???

Well you folks have a great time. Pro great shots & ya caught the scoreboard with the 3.69ET Brittnay pass......WOW!!!
I remember being there yrs ago when Kalitta went 4.42ET I believe @ 1320ft, the quickest pass ever at that time. In fact I don't recall if anyone ever bettered that before they went to 1,000ft. BP, or Danny would know that stat for us. Anyway The place went nuts when that came up on the boards.

Well the "Q" show is on @ 10PM tonight Fox sports 1 - I'll catch up then. Everyone enjoy the day & weekend, be safe.

Good Morning, the fund raiser was a success. Our friends Mark and Dianne did a wonderful job. Fortin's Auto Supply an Maskall's Auto Body supplied all the food. Silent Auction and live action did really well. I donated a poster that I've had since 2005. The picture is a Dale Armstrongs roofless Chevy 2,signed by him,and about 30 other Drag Race Pioneer's, Ed Pink,Dave Uyehara, etc, etc,. It raised $250.

Good stuff, Boyd!

Great pictures, Gary!

Zap, to this point in time, that 4.42 by Kalitta is still the quickest quarter mile top fuel pass in history.

Back from York Springs this morning. Leisurely drive back but tired! Napped much of the afternoon. Had a wonderful time with lots of nice folks. bp

Baby shower!! Haha!!
I will add to your pain Zappy, We went to National Trails Night Of Thunder to help crew for Rick Ream and his wheelstanding fire truck. We went to warm it up before our first run and had "ZERO" oil pressure! Pull the dist and checked the drive, all looked fine on that end. Thought maybe the pickup tube fell off the pump. No time to pull the pan so Rick made the decision that the "show must go on" and managed to make his scheduled 3 passes without any issues. Hope to find out this week what happened.

Have a great day everyone.
