Another hot day this Saturday. I may just blow the day off and do nothing, or I might get some ambition later. :?:
It's already 89.6°f with high humidity. Glad we dodged most of that heat at the DLN's.
Heading to see the Grandkids tonight.

Good morning, everyone. Denise and I had a fun day out on the bay yesterday on my friend Andy's boat. Later today, we will go down to the national mall to see the tribute to the moon landing.

Sorry to hear about your friend's loss, Gary. That is a tough one.

Thanks BP. That makes 2 of my close high school friends now that have lost children.

Sunday mornin'. 74.8°f. As of now, we're supposed to get relief from the heat over the next week, with highs in the lower 80's / upper 70's. It's cloudy now, so hopefully we get a brake from the upper 90's / lower 100's of the past few days. Sure is making the meter spin. (well technically the meters are digital now, so they don't spin so much Ann E. Moore).

Sunday mornin' = waiting for Cheryl to get ready.

Great news BP. And a trip to celebrate. Life is goota'.

Getting ready for a workday today after spending yesterday running a friend to the dentist and going out for dinner last night after Cheryl got home.

Last night I purchased a new set of blades for the lawn tractor. The originals are getting pretty beat up after a little over 20 years, It's starting to show after the lawn is mowed, . I'm trying mulching blades this time. I don't like to rake up grass clippings if I can avoid it. Hopefully this will help avoid that even more.

Then, after looking for months, finally pulled the trigger on a weather station. We'll see how that goes, spoz' to be here Friday. This one has no moving parts, no wires and is supposed to be pretty accurate according to reviews. It doesn't have a monitor, but rather sends info to the 'puter via the wifi hub and to any other devices like a tablet or android phone, so we can check home weather on the road. It connects to Alexa, so she'll give us a backyard weather report. Logs data creating a weather history and a bunch of other cool features.
Measures rainfall, rain intensity, wind direction and speed, detects lightning strikes, UV and solar radiation, tells you if it's sunny or cloudy, kind of cool if we're accessing it on the road, temperature, barometric pressure, humidity, heat index, dew point, air density. Solar powered and uses artificial intelligence to maintain calibration. How cool is that?

Howdy! One more day of work and then we are on our way. Getting things wrapped up as best I can and then will be offline. As we will be 'out of the country' I won't be doing updates of the website and will not be taking my work computer or phone. Wow... will have a lot to catch up on come Friday, August 2! Jason will be home and enjoying peace and quiet. Retired neighbor Wayne will keep an eye on the homestead! bp

Sounds like fun, Gary! I slept in to get more than five hours for the first time this week. All packed up and ready to leave the house for NJ and then cruising to Bermuda for a week. I may be pretty far off the grid so you my not hear from me until August 1. Bon voyage! bp
