Good Morning, I'll be painting at the Father in law's. Susan is going with her Dad to shop for a light and a mirror. Installed a new transmission cross member in the MLC yesterday. Due to it's design, I now have exhaust pipe clearance issue to deal with. Maybe I should drive it open header to the Muffler Shop
Great photos again. Lovely day here. Spent most of it on the phone, but Jason was driving me around to appointments while we did it and we enjoyed the beautiful sunny day. bp
Went to the Blue Hole, also in Santa Rosa. It's a sink hole 60 ft across & 81 ft deep. It's spring fed at the rate of 3,000 gal. per minute, so the water is super clear. Then ended up in Tucumcari, NM for the night, staying at the Blue Swallow. This place is a time capsule of the glory days of Rt 66. We stopped a little yearly today, so we can revisit the Midpoint Cafe tomorrow morning. Just can't pass up that second slice of pie & coffee.

Hope the Buick is there in the morning as Mater was eyeballing it pretty heavy!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
Great pics. You ought to be a travel agent/travel blog guy.
Rain yesterday, last night and today. Off to do a few errands and then down to WVA for the weekend. Neighbors are watching the dog and we are oughta here in a few hours. See ya'll on Monday.
We'd do the blog thing, but we're just a couple days from retiring, so it probably wouldn't work out.
We're in Yukon, OK tonight. We saw a bunch more Rt 66 stuff, but one stop of note was this guy at the Rt 66 Curiosity shop or some name like that. Don't have the town name right now but it was in OK anyway. He was proud of the fact that, according to him, he was the owner of the very first Route 66 sign posted on the Oklahoma highway. He even insisted that was hold it and he take our picture. As a matter of fact he took our picture several times & then asked me to video him as he sang his rendition of, Get your kicks on Rt 66". Maybe I'll post it to You Tube when we get home when I can use the desktop unit. We could tell he'd performed his song many many times over the years for the tourists that wondered into his shop. And his house had more signs than the store I think. More later......
