Morning folkz. Rain and high 50's here today so I will be manning the computer all day. This weekend the "Teddy Bear Run" took place. Hundreds of motorcyclists gather at the local Harley Davidson store then drive North and pick up many more motorcycles on the way to the Akron Children's Hospital each carrying a stuffed bear or other animal. I think they raised about $6000 dollars in addition to the teddy bears last year. Both Sharon and I rode motorcycles when we were younger so after we left church we parked close to the Harley dealer's entrance and waited till 1:00 to watch them leave. Wow! You talk about rolling thunder when they all started the motorcycles at 1:00 it almost made the earth shake. But Sharon said, "That still doesn't compare to a Nitro car." That's my girl. Sharon stood out there waving at them for a little over 15 minutes till her arms almost fell off. Every kind of full dresser, crotch rocket, custom bike, trikes and even a big scooter went by. What a wonderful thing to do for the children's hospital, a nice one hour drive and they had just beautiful weather too. Then we came home, had some pizza, watched a movie and chilled all day long. It doesn't get much better than that ... well except the Draglist Nats!
