Then we went to Martha's Vineyard. Since it is now the off season, they don't have a ferry direct from Nantucket to Martha's so we had to go
Out to Nantucket, then back to Hyannis, then back out to Martha's Vineyard, then back to Hyannis. Each direction took a little over an hour by high speed ferry. The trip back from Nantucket was interesting because of high winds, The trip back to Martha's was delayed from 9:30 to just after noon, because of the wind.

It's worth the trip for sure. They say Martha's Vineyard is the home of millionaires and Nantucket is the home of Billionaires. But, of the 2, I think M.V. is better kept, easier to get around and just more interesting to tour. But, I'm neither a Millionaire or a Billionaire so what do I know

We're headed to see more things Pilgram today.

Thanks Jack & Jack. I just happen to have some new ones. We went to the Jenny museum. There was a historian there that gave about an hour talk on the Pilgrims, Indians, etc. Very interesting, the time went by fast. we went through the Pilgrim Museum, Toured the oldest surviving home in Plymouth. Stopped by the Forefathers National Monument. The largest granite monument in the country.

Then tonight I took a time exposure shot across the way from the Restaurant we stopped at tonight. Then went back to the hotel and got a couple beach shots. Low tide and pretty calm winds made for a large beach area. By morning the waves will be half way up the rocks and splashing over on the deck. Heading out of town in the morning.

Morning. I liked the time exposure shot of the wharf Gary. Cool.
29/52 for the day with sunshine this morning turning to cloudy skies in the mid afternoon. Yesterday we went to get flu shots then over to Sharon's mom's house to continue with the cleaning and sorting of stuff. Mom had a mirrored shadow box that was purchased back in the 60's and when I looked it up on the internet I found out it is really a valuable piece. Spent most of the day there then came home to mow the grass hopefully for the last time this year. We are headed out this morning to take some fall pictures and try out our new Bluetooth shutter control on Sharon's phone mounted on the tripod. We have several places picked out but we can't go too far as we have to be back to pick up Lola from preschool in the afternoon. When we get her home I am going to plant some mums for my neighbor and reinstall a piece of siding on the front porch gable that came lose for my single mom neighbor. We have to stop for meds for Sharon and get some milk so that will have to be taken care of in our travels today. We still have leftovers from our preparation for care packages for my brother after his new knee replacement so we haven't needed to cook much this week. I gave up on the gas tank for the 84 pickup and called a young guy to come and put it in, I was rolling around under the truck yesterday and couldn't hardly move when I got up this morning. :D :D :D

We went from sea level to 1,000 ft @ Mount Washington NH. We're taking the Cog Rail up Mt Washington this afternoon, but only 3/4 the way up, as they had a ft. of new snow a couple days ago, flurries now. It was -6* at the summit last night. Mt Washington had the worst weather in the nation. They closed the great auto road a couple weeks ago for the season. That made Cheryl very happy.
We're staying at the Glen House. It's only been open for 1 month. Very Very cool place (no pun intended).
