Morning. Well, I finally got my grass mowed yesterday. In the morning we put out all the US flags along the sidewalk along with all of our neighbors and in the afternoon when I mowed I had to have Sharon remove all of them then replace them after I made a pass with the mower. Sharon and I put down Preen weed preventative at the church yesterday in the morning then we went to Lowes and bought a shovel, rakes and a hoe for landscaping use at the church. I have several people who volunteered to help me next Saturday putting down mulch and fixing some other stuff that needs attention at the church so hopefully I can get the to-do list finished. The little blond girl across the street held my little finger while she splashed in the water, with her pink boots on, yesterday morning and melted my heart. She calls Sharon, Sarann. We are so blessed to have several young couples on our block with little ones. 77 and rain later today and we are going to take it easy and watch a few races while lounging. Have a good one. :D :D :D

Remembering those who gave all, so we could have the freedom to do all we do.

Morning. Gary, I'm glad you have a fire extinguisher close for that BIG BBQ grill! You need to put the Camaro in there so it doesn't feel neglected!
79 and sunshine after the rain overnight. Wow, the Indy 500 was a good race except for that horrible crash. I thought the turn out of the crash was going to be really bad when that car got split in two but he walked away. I can't even imagine diving into a corner at 218 MPH. That would make you pump some adrenaline. We recorded the NASCAR race so we can watch it today. Sharon wanted to get the patio furniture out so we did that yesterday after church and we cooked up 12 ears of sweet corn and pigged out on that for supper. YUM! We had supper with Daryl and Heidi on Saturday night and sat and talked for almost 3 hours. Daryl has a Mini Pete going to Scotland when he finishes it so he is internationally famous now. He is even building Heidi one for traveling around the pits at the races. Boyd, I am glad to hear you are gaining strength and getting better but it is a shame you won't be at DLNats this year. God speed my friend.
