Hey Bill, that York show you talked about on the radio show,...where exactly is it & when??... Is it strictly a show, or is it a drag race also.
Have you ever been before ?? Is it real big ??
Yup, that's on the schedule for this weekend.

We got our dubious 15 "seconds" of fame. This is an ariel shot of the neighborhood from a news story the morning after the storm. You can see we were pretty fortunate as houses all around us are beat up. If you look close you can see the shop door that's now an "outty", (left overhead door) got pushed out through the door jam and is more like a curtain now. A block east and a block west of us the damage is much worse, so we're counting our blessings. They have been hauling off the debris pretty fast, so things are looking better. Once construction starts the landscape will look even more barren as a lot of houses & other structures are condemned and will be coming down. Most of the remaining trees need to come down too, some are leaning & unsafe.

Had a surprise visitor, Jerry Clayton stopped by to see how things were going.

Morning. I am going to swap the old rims for custom wheels and new rubber on Sharon's Honda then get tie rod ends with an alignment later today. Have to pickup the last few items for the 4th party and all is well.

Mornin'
Thanks Boyd. Things are getting cleaned up at a record pace, I think the cleanup & utility workers are running on nitro.

Boyd and Susan -- Happy Canada Day!

Zappy -- the York Show is no Cobo Hall, but it is two huge halls of great cars with lots of great tables and vendors around the outsides. Really nice and definitely worth seeing. It is strictly a show, but on Sunday afterwards, most everyone goes up to Beaver Springs Dragway a few hours away and there is a nostalgia drag race. Very cool track and a lot of fun. That would be on your way back, by the way! We all go out to eat dinner on Friday and Saturday night as a huge drag racing crowd. It's a lot of fun. In fact, I'd better get my hotel room ready! bp
