I went out & put the snow blower on the lawn tractor, then went out to blow snow. * made it 200-300 ft. & the electric clutch that runs the snow blower (mower deck) let out a puff & smoke and that's all she wrote. I had a time trying to get it back to the shop following the single path I blew, but I finally made it. I guess it's up to the bobcat now. Snowing harder now than it has all day, so I think I'll wait to see what develops.

Afternoon folkz. Snowed overnight so I shoveled both sides of the street this morning before church. Came home and did it all over again then had a sandwich for lunch. It is calm now but they are calling for more tonight.

Got up early this morning & cleared the driveway with the bobcat so Cheryl could get to work. I'll be headin' out there again in a bit to go over it one more time so it doesn't freeze lumpy. Snow blower does a much better job. I might have to go out later & see if the snow blower clutch is something simple or if it's gonna be a major deal. It's about a 15 year old Troy-Bilt, built in Cleveland OH BTW. This will be the first time I've had to buy parts for the unit. :(

I feel so much better. I took the electric PTO off the garden tractor, cleaned it up a little & checked the air gap on the clutch disc. .045'' it was. Spoz' to be .012". I adjusted the clutch, reinstalled & presto, it works again. Down side is, the magnet leads read 2.4 ohms & it's spoz' to read between 3 & 4 so I don't know if that means the fix is temporary or not. But for now, we're back in business & the best part is it cost $0.00 to fix. Did I mention I feel so much better.
