Hi, everyone. Sister Nancy is in town with her boyfriend Zak. We are going to go to Annapolis, Md., tomorrow to finish cleaning Tim's stuff out of the marina and to otherwise enjoy a nice day near the water. Been amazingly busy at work but having a great time. My work pal Tia is super excited to join us for the Draglist Nats festivities. Enjoy the weekend! bp

Sounds like everybody is having a good weekend. It will be fun to meet Tia at the DLN's.

Word of our garage door project got out & one of the guys on the habitat board put together of crew of 8 and had them here at 8am this morning. 10 hours later, we have 5 garage doors installed. They need a little adjusting, door openers installed, jams & weatherstripping installed, but we have doors that open & close. I think I may have been at this job all summer had they not shown up. Big Big BIG thanks to all the guys that put in more hours than they probably bargained for. Had a construction sign job dropped off this afternoon that's needed for Monday morning, so after cleaning up outside I'll have something to keep me occupied tonight. Tomorrow afternoon I may have to see if I can hold the couch down for a few hours.

Sharon and I went to watch Daryl's first outing with the new 383 stroker motor with the Hilborn injection. I wish I could have seen the look on Daryl's face when he nailed it on the first pass and yanked the wheels up and carried them for about 30 feet.
He ran:
1st pass 8.92 - 143 MPH
2nd pass 8.86 - 144 MPH
3rd pass 8.84 - 144 MPH

Smiles per gallon are not calculated but it was all over his face when he came back to the pits.
Congratulations young'in, you did good.

Great news from both Midwest hot spots. Congrats on the garage doors, Gary, and my thanks to those guys as well. Good job with the roadster, Daryl! That's awesome stuff right there. Had a lot of fun with Nancy and Zak yesterday. We finished getting the stuff out of the bath house at Tim's marina. Found lots of car stuff and racing stuff he'd collected over the years. Plenty of tools, etc. Will donate most. Ate our way across two states. Breakfast at a diner in Annapolis, oysters outdoors on King Street in Old Town Alexandria, and then back to Waldorf for sushi at our great local place. They are on their way back to Ohio today and I'm eating extra light to catch up! Have a nice Sunday. bp

Morning. You did fine Daryl. Hot and humid with upper 80's and very sticky weather today. I fixed the ex's turn signal problems this morning and not sure of what to get into later today but I know it will be inside. Still have that picture of Daryl hanging the wheels on the first pass that was just great. :D
