The directions were written for HVAC guys I 'hink. Even Jeff the HVAC guy (not Jeff the Son) was grumblin' about the sketchy manual. Oh well, my concerns about possible damage to the board due to this ooops, were unfounded, as once wired correctly it came to life. Radiators are in the upper 90's and climbing as I type. I've been runnin' around the house shooting the radiators with the infrared gun, like a was checkin' track temps.

This unit's boiler temp has a 145°f target temp. As it gets colder outside & it realizes it's not keeping up, it raises the boiler temp as needed. Up to 190°f when it gets really cold out. Pretty cool deal, or hot set up as the case may be. The old unit was a top fuel type. either full throttle or idle. This new unit is sorta' like a comp car. Partial throttle until it needs more and then Bam, off to the races.

Good morning. Gary that plumbing setup looks like a turbo for a monster motor.
The temperature is going up to 41 to day with rain and possible snow. Sharon and I went to an oriental restaurant last night and had a very good meal although it was a little expensive. I think we will take her mother there when we take her for her birthday. We did some shopping at a home store and bought a housewarming gift for a friend. It was good to get out of the house for a while. :D :D :D

Good Morning. It's sunny here this morning. I spent from 10:30am til 4:pm at a hospital yesterday. Most of that time waiting for tests. Good news.

Thanks Jack. Just got a call that the 2 huge furnaces that feed the Worship Center at church have died of cracked heat exchangers.

Good morning. Gary a cracked heat exchanger is really dangerous. 42° and mostly cloudy today. I started doing some file cabinet arrangement yesterday and will finish it today. I am taking Sharon out for dinner tonight than over to get a body massage. She will be like silly putty when she gets home. Sharon told me yesterday that she has to work Saturday this week but that it will only be for a short time in the near future. They have a special order that needs to be filled ASAP. I will be batching it on Saturday. :D :D :D

Drat. Had to replace the zone valve for the office. The temp kept creeping up. Office got up to 78°f. Turns out it was frozen open. Open valve meant constant call for heat being sent to the boiler. I called the HVAC place Justin Time. They were closing, but set one outside the door for me. Works now. We had one fail not long after it was installed & now this one. I guess after 18 years, that's gonna happen.
The thermostats on the south end of the house work, but they don't talk to the boiler. Each one when it opens is 'spoz to let the boiler know it needs heat. Since there's 5 on the south end and none are talking, I suspect a single problem like a loose wire somewhere. Only 1 is new, the rest have been workin' for years w/o a problem. I have to work on Christmas stage stuff all day today, so the trouble shooting might have to wait. At least we have heat.
Goota' Chance of snow tomorrow they say. Temps dropping. Cloudy & 35.8°f right now
