Thanks BP. Did I fail to mention, I flagged down a state cop for assistance? He contacted the town police & they were kind enough to give us a ride to the local hotel. Got my first ride in the back seat of a squad car. Sooooo, I can check that off my bucket list now. :( Pretty tight fit, I made it a point to tell them this was my first ride in the back seat of a squad car. I've driven a few, since I letter the local units, but never locked in the back seat. And yes, I determined right away, the back seat door handles don't work. People at the restaurant probably thought we were being booked for something. I checked to see if we at least had a jack, (didn't). We had to take everything out of the trunk to see if we did or not. Looked very much like a drug search to passersby I'm sure.  We sure know how to have a good time.

LOL. Pretty funny scene. Great to have them there when we need them, that's for sure. bp

Good Morning, nice day for now. Still plodding away at installing the new transmission cross member, Fighting with the driveline angles. Stupid me,I measured all I could think of,but didn't check the degree of angle. I now think that it has been off ever since thr truck was built. Had I checked this, before hand would have saved a lot of frustration. Wouldn't have changed the amount of work, however.

Evening folkz. Boyd I wish you luck on your cross member install.
Gary, I was thinking of taking Sharon on a Rt. 66 trip but I told her she saw everything there was to see so it is a check off on the bucket list. She didn't think that was a goota answer.

We had a good time on our trip but it rained for half of the trip. We had a dinner that was very, very good on Friday night but it was expensive. Saturday we toured the New River Gorge bridge on top and down below then headed home on the back roads. Now I let the Garmin pick the routes and we were in for a surprise. We got off the main drag and into double-wide territory, down to poorly paved road and single wide property then the road deteriorated into semi pavement and pot holes that almost swallowed the Honda and Sharon told me she thought she heard banjos picking!!!!!!!!!!!!! Back to paved road but in places it was sliding off the edge and into the rivers from all the flooding they had in West Virginia. We saw where the rivers had been up to the middle of the first floor on some buildings, boarded up with travel trailers in the driveway to live in. Saturday's evening meal was a 180 degree turn around from Friday night as it was horrible. We were glad to get home and spoil the dog all day Sunday before Sharon had to return to work.

Sorry about the tech troubles, Boyd. Saw you on the chat, but didn't get a chance to say howdy.

Sorry about the rain on your trip, Jack! Sounds sort of scary on those roads... especially in a car car... not at truck or something!

No such adventures for me this weekend, but based on my delayed procedures, I'm hoping to do Bruce Larson's thing on November 12 as a last hurrah before hibernating for the winter! :) bp

I give in, I'm convinced to up-grade to a "smart phone". Any suggestions ? What kind ? Do you like yours ? do you hate yours ? I'm all ears.

My windows phone was a piece of junk (forget the brand).

My iphone is ok but takes a bit of getting used to.

I hear Android phones are awesome, but i don't have any personal experience. bp

Cheryl got a Nexus 6 and I got a Nexus 6P (little better camera, but little smaller screen than her's). We both like them & they were less expensive than the Samsung 7 that likes to spontainiously start on fire.
