Getting ready for a workday today after spending yesterday running a friend to the dentist and going out for dinner last night after Cheryl got home.
Last night I purchased a new set of blades for the lawn tractor. The originals are getting pretty beat up after a little over 20 years, It's starting to show after the lawn is mowed,
. I'm trying mulching blades this time. I don't like to rake up grass clippings if I can avoid it. Hopefully this will help avoid that even more.
Then, after looking for months, finally pulled the trigger on a weather station. We'll see how that goes, spoz' to be here Friday. This one has no moving parts, no wires and is supposed to be pretty accurate according to reviews. It doesn't have a monitor, but rather sends info to the 'puter via the wifi hub and to any other devices like a tablet or android phone, so we can check home weather on the road. It connects to Alexa, so she'll give us a backyard weather report. Logs data creating a weather history and a bunch of other cool features.
Measures rainfall, rain intensity, wind direction and speed, detects lightning strikes, UV and solar radiation, tells you if it's sunny or cloudy, kind of cool if we're accessing it on the road, temperature, barometric pressure, humidity, heat index, dew point, air density. Solar powered and uses artificial intelligence to maintain calibration. How cool is that?
