Awesome, Gary! They need you to repaint the entire thing! bp
I think it may tip over from the weight of the sign.

My first job of the day was finishing up the stripes on the Drive Inn Windows. This place is a Rt 66 must stop spot. This May is the 30th anniversary for the current owners, but the place dates back to the 50's. Started out in a school bus with a pass through window. I've been doing their lettering from day 1. The lettering (it's vinyl) on the awning is 30 years old and still looks pretty good. I think it's because it's on aluminum which dissipates heat. That's the only explanation I have so I've sticking to that story.
The Elvis outside is solid concrete. Nobody will be walking off with him. This particular statue has some history I've been told.

A few of the inside. These are the jobs that keep me going. Workin' away, listenin' to oldies on the jukebox and thinking about taking another Rt 66 cruise someday.

I'll take a cheeseburger with lettuce and mayo, fries and a diet Coke. Thank you. 8)
Well I didn't get to the tire swap situation yesterday as I spent too much time at the church and forgot that I had to mow the lawn when I got home. Maybe today?
77 today with thunderstorms in the late afternoon. Off for breakfast with my buddy then back to his house to check on the progress with the repair of his sending unit in his gas tank on the 67 Comet convertible. Hoping to get back in time to swap those tires out on the S-10. Hope it rains a while so the plants I moved at the church will get a good drink of water. :D :D :D

Howdy, everyone! Place looks great, Gary! Yes, my lunch was awesome yesterday. Delicious food one a half a block away but I'm glad they treated me as it was pretty pricey! :)

Came home tonight and Denise said, "I'm not cooking -- we're going out!" So off to Texas Roadhouse we went. Picked out a 16 ounce steak and ate it up. It was great. Place was a germ minefield with tons of kids and close quarters but I seem to have survived!

Made it through three days of work downtown pretty easily, except some of my former sleep time is now used for commuting! Got to figure that one out...

Have a great weekend, everyone! bp

Mmmmmm yum and I haven't had any breakfast yet!!!
71 and partly cloudy today with rain coming tonight. I have to go get a load of landscaping dirt for me and my BiL, shovel some of it around in the flower garden then down to the church for about an hour, home and some tire swapping on the S-10.... finally. :D :D :D
