Great looking shots, Gary! I had a great time at the York Musclecar Madness event. Just got home a half hour ago. I was honored to receive a nice award there for contributions to drag racing. Saw so many good friends. Will post photos soon. bp
WOAH there mister!!! slow down. You kinda glazed over that award thing. Don't be modest, lets have the details of this award please.

Thanks, Zappy. Jim Amos sponsored the Jim Amole Benevolent Award for contributions to drag racing. It was a very nice honor. I asked what it was for and Jim told me it was for giving to drag racing. I thought it was funny that I got that award on the day when so many folks have given to ME, including Barb Santucci (who was there cheering me on), Bud DeBoer, and John Bockelman doing all the hard work for free on our radio show, Dale Broderick and Ellen McAuliffe who fed me a delicious lunch on Friday (and every time I go to the races), and Tim Frederick and Scott Snizek, both of whom kindly gave me new T-shirts to celebrate my weight loss! Heck, that's TAKING! :D But I get where they were going and I really appreciate it. Thanks to Darwin Doll and the York staff and thanks to Bob Wenzelburger for the photo. bp

Good morning. Oh yes, it was a big topic of conversation with everyone. Some folks looked right through me not realizing it was me... others noticed it was me and commented. I gave out a lot of diet secrets and followed up with emails. Nice to hear of course. bp

Thanks, Zappy! I appreciate it.

Denise and I had a great day out for her birthday yesterday. We had a long, leisurely lunch with wine and dessert and everything, and then went to see the Lone Ranger (we liked it).

But she was telling me that we should have the draglist nats at MIR one of these days... we have MIR right there 20 miles away, we have the pool, we have DC, and you guys have two ready, willing, and able tour guides... any interest? bp

Yes, that would be the plan. The MIR Nostalgia event is in September this year. I am on the planning committee for that so we could bake in the Draglist Nats from the earliest opportunity. I might be able to get a tower suite for use. Need to verify all. bp
