Hi, everyone. Slept in today. Feds have the day off via Executive Order in honor of former president George Bush. bp

30.4°f. cloudy again, but it's all staying in the sky so far. I get to start the day by replacing the hot water heater in the shop.
Tomorrow, weather permitting I get to run new coax up the TV tower. We seem to have sprung a leak there to. Whenever it rains we loose TV reception. Apparently moisture is finding it's way into a coupling somewhere.
Other than that, I just have the normal sign stuff to do today.

Morning. Have youz recovered from vacation yet?????
29/36 today and it is to be nice or lacking of rain and snow for the next several days. That means I can wash Sharon's Honda before she gets home from NC. Yesterday I went for a Dr. appointment with my endocrinologist, say that five times fast, then to breakfast with my buddy. He told me his granddaughter backed into another car and she was really upset but he told me he could fix it with a little bit of redneck technology. He gave up his gig as Santa at the mansion as it would be way too much for him with his health problems. That darn near killed him as he has been doing it for over 13 years and gets more enjoyment out of it than the little critters. Hopefully, I have talked him into going to the Cleveland Clinic to see a specialist about his lungs. I came back home after getting some groceries and restocked the pantry before Sharon returns home and did nothing but listen to music and surf the net. Three days of relaxation will be coming to an end!!!! :( :( :(

Not me. Vacation life sorta' rubbed off on me.

I'll have to take the 7 month "How to get over vacation" evaluation. But then the vacations start again, so what am I to do?

Howdy! Spent time with both kids tonight but in different locations! Em texted me just before I left town after work and we had a nice small dinner before she had to go back to work. Then I came home and Jason and I went to our local sushi place. Then Denise came along a bit later. Well fed! bp

Busy day today. Ran down to the steel yard 45 min south and picked up enough 1" I.D. pipe to make the 210 brackets I need to fabricate for the truck parking signs. Picked up all the bolts, nuts & self tapping screws. Then went to Joliet & lettered a truck and took an order for some hard hat decals and other assorted stickers.
Went to Airgas and exchanged an oxygen tank for a full one. Also exchanged two argon tanks, because themz' there was "ar gone" Picked up a pack of tungsten and a box of TIG cups. Had to order a TIG torch head as they were out of the one I needed. They're gonna mail it to me as it's just a spare anyway. Never fails that stuff always breaks on the weekend, so it's goota' to have spares.
Then headed to Morris and lettered 3 trucks there. Came home and did a couple small jobs that have to be picked up in the morning.
When I got home, some of the stuff I'll need for tomorrows "replace the coax" job had been delivered. The rest is supposed to show up Saturday. Hope the weather cooperates as I'll be hangin' off the TV tower tomorrow.

Good news about the good news BP. I got good news from my CT scan this week too, so "life is good", as WC would say.

@ 7am, only 12.9°f this morning. Burrr. Alexa says partly cloudy and a high of 33°f for today, down to 16°f tonight. I might have to do the TV tower work a little at a time with "warm me up" breaks.

Off to PF Chang's tonight with the Kids & Grandkids. That should warm me up.

I 'hink I spotted at least one issue. Looks like one of the couplings on the pre amp has separated and is probably letting water in. Looks like an easy fix. Probleee would beee if it wasn't so dern far off the ground. That unit is 30' up and the antenna is another 6' above that according to the Bosch laser distance measurin' thingy.
That short coax from the pre amp to the antenna is spoz' to show up today, along with the last of the other pieces for the job. So, I guess I can't go up the tower yet. Yup, that's it, no cable, so I have to stay inside by the fire for now.
