That's really great, Daryl! It's fun and approachable and I'll bet every kid and a fair number of adults wanted one just like it! bp

Finished the day a little early today, so I texted Cheryl & had her meet me at the plant place. We bought enough plants to make it look like we're trying to replant. 4 Hibiscus, 3 Sapphire surf and a few Mums. The rest we'll fill in with bulbs this Fall & next Spring. At least the place doesn't look so neglected out front now.
The ol' tornado tree is getting closer to tipping over. That's a project for another day, maybe even another year. This long holiday weekend, I 'hink I'll attempt to re-level a few of the pavers. 20+ years of rain, erosion, sink holes have taken their toll. A couple places are trip hazards, so I better make it ''senior'' proof.

Mornin'. Friday, 74°f and sunny. They're laying the last of the southbound pavement. Starting to install the new street lights, and a bud from yesterday bloomed this morning. It was partially open at daybreak and by 9a it was way open.

Mornin'. 63°f and cloudy this am. Spending the weekend on the front entrance. Started last night, picking up pavers that have settled over the last 20+ years. Added sand to bring them back up to grade and setting them back down. One place on the steps will require little jacking up to get it level. Then I plan to pressure wash everything, give it a coat of sealer and then spread some sand to re-lock them. I'm hoping, with the long weekend to get it all done this weekend.
Yesterday I finally plumbed the outside faucet by the front door, so we can keep the mew plants watered without hauling water from the backyard. Cheryl was very happy.
Going to the Kids/Grandkids later.

Lots of stuff going on, Gary!

Sunny and pretty here today. Got a friend's 50th birthday party to attend. Denise and I will do the second half of the day there.

Next weekend, it's the Legends at Budds Creek. Got my guest list in. Tia and family, Wayne and friend, and hopefully, Jack Redd, will join me.

Hope everyone has a terrific Labor Day. bp
