They got a little more done on the downtown project while we were gone.

What beautiful photos, Gary! And the lake is nice, too! LOL

Great progress there in town. bp

Thanks BP.
We had a B@mb scare downtown yesterday. Most likely a h@ax, but it caused a stir anyway. Have to take even a h@ax seriously these days.

Few more from Bonneville.

We had snow overnight Tuesday night. Turned to rain yesterday and melted most of it. We're getting snow again this morning and it's predicted to last all day. They moved Trick or Treat to tomorrow night so I guess they're expecting it to get pretty white out there today.

Turns out the surrounding towns postponed Trick or treat but not us. We've had a few show up, but we don't usually get many so we'll see. I predict under 10.

Amazing! Believe it or not, it was 75 here today! But it will drop 20 degrees in the next two hours and will stay that way. We are actually under a tornado watch until midnight. I guess when two weather fronts of such extreme different temps hit, that stuff happens. Going to have a slow weekend but then next weekend is Bruce Larson's USA-1 Dragfest. Should be fun. bp

Mornin'. Hope the Tornado didn't materialize BP. We're at 28°f this am. Sunny, but the snow crunches under the tires like it was January.

They're working to get the downtown project done before winter. There's a completion date claus in the contract, so I'm sure they'll do whatever is necessary to get it done.

They got a bunch of curb & gutter poured today. They've got equipment on every block and more crew than normal. I think they want to meet that deadline.

I've been sorta' playing hooky this week. I bought these plastic bulbs (with a screw on socket) online. Put 1.5 Oz. of Bonneville Salt Flats salt in them, then put a little glue on the threads when I put the socket back on. ( Ethan & Jaden sooner or later would want to take the salt out)
Made up some Salt Flats labels. Instant souvenir. We looked in the gas station/gift shop at the SF entrance, Looked in shops in Wendover down the road, and not a single thing for Bonneville? Didn't think to check at Salt Lake City, thinking surely there would be something at Bonneville. We weren't going to backtrack an hour on a hunch. So, this is what I came up with.
