Bears

Postby pro70z28 » Sun Oct 28, 2012 6:33 pm

Thought I'd catch a Bears game today. Into the thrird quarter it was something like 7-19 Panther lead & the panthers were drivin'. I didn't need the agrivation so I watched a movie.
Just now checked the Bears web site for a final & I'll be if they didn't pull it out with a late field goal 23-22.....

Oops! Never do that in the NFL! :D I watched the Giants-Cowboys game and it went back and forth several times. Another one decided at the very end... good stuff. bp

The Texans have to play THE BEARS next Sunday night at Soldier Field...YIKES!!! That's going to be something to watch (I listen to games on a little radio I have here and I listen to the audiocasts from NHRA on the computer)
Both teams are 7-1, both having lost one game to the Packers, but the Bears are favored, even by the Houston sportswriters...Texans start off sluggish, then make up ground once they get warmed up...they CAN NOT do that against The Bears. Bears are playing with ferocity and the Texans often look like they're just trying not to lose. Their schedule is going to change from a relatively easy one to Murderer's Row starting next week. On any given Sunday...

By the way, Sunday will be Bob Frey's last audiocast. He's retiring after Pomona. Best of luck to all competitors! WC1

That was a grueling contest. It was a defensive battle all the way. I was sorry to see Jake Cutler get a concussion. He was one of 3 quarterbacks yesterday in the NFL to get clobbered. It was 2 evenly-matched teams duking it out in slop, and it could have gone either way. I have always rated Cutler over Schaub, however. Kubiak's offense did what I expected them to do. They played not to lose. But I can't argue with the results, and they were up against the best defense they'll face all year. That was why the Texans' offense struggled. It was a game of inches, not big huge yardage plays. We were lucky to come out ahead is all I can say. We play every team in the NFC North this season. The Pack beat us here, we played the Bears, now we're at the Lions on Thanksgiving and then the Vikes come here in week 16. Good luck to the BEARS. We might meet up again in New Orleans. WC1
