I just read on the Marion County dragway site that they have dropped the annual funny car nats. (say it isn't SO Ethel !!)
That was an outstanding nostalgia show, 25 - 30 F/C's showing up. Long smokey burn-outs, dry-hops, every old muscle car body style you could think of.

This is far too great a show to let die, please tell me that it will be re-booked into Norwalk, or Quaker City.
Any up date Rocky, or Denny????

That is sad news indeed, if true. I'm sure Denny will let everyone know what the updated plans are. bp

I talked to Denny tonight. They don't have that show rebooked yet. They were looking at Kil Kare but that didn't work out.

But they have a good ten shows on the schedule. bp

I have heard that Dragway 42 is moving the burnout box back several feet to the property line and resurfacing the track in
the proper procedure this time and leveling out the end of the track so it doesn't knock the fillings out of your teeth with
all the bumps. That is just here say as I haven't talked to anyone in authority but Dragway 42 was voted the worst track in
the nation a few years ago. Such a shame as back in the day that was the place to go for some very big shows. I hope Denny
has talked to them. Good luck Denny.

Good to know Denny is trying to re-locate. That is FAR too great a show to lose. Ohio has lots of tracks that i'm sure would love to host the event.

Denny and I had breakfast together Saturday morning. His son lives about 8 miles from me and he was visiting. We had a nice two hour discussion. He is shopping around the event but has no certain tracks yet and may in fact hold off for a year and then bring it back. But that's not a certainty either. He will be talking to Dragway 42 soon just to catch up and see what's up. Also talking to several other tracks (as he does continually). Dennis does a great job with his circuit. One nice bonus is that he may join us for the Draglist Nats if all goes well. bp
