You are so correct about his dedication. He works his butt off at the Nats as well as all of the guys that make up his group
on a show that is about as close as it comes to back in the day. Solid Rock does one nasty burnout after another
and is doing it on a shoe string budget compared to some of the others. I have seen some heart warming things take
place in Rock's pit with the children and fans that I will never forget. I see a smile from him when the kids show up
that makes him 30 years younger. Him and another Chicago funny car guy do seminars at schools throughout the year
to encourage the young men and ladies to stay in school and further their education. What a mentor for all of us.
Then I have to deal with that crazy Bandit guy who brings tears of laughter to my eyes. Gorilli like Bandit. Sharon
said she will miss passing out hugs to all those guys if we don't get the Funny Nats back on the schedule. We would love
to have Denny at the 2014 DLNats to talk to the group about his journey through drag racing. Just some
thoughts from the freezing Ohio guy.
