Cheryl & I might be there Sunday. All depends on how the weekend goes. If all goes as planned we should be back home Saturday night.

The 6 day Super Bowel is over

Postby animal jim » Mon Jul 31, 2006 11:47 am

:D The Super Bowel of Drag racing is over. What a deal. If I did not see any of you, it was because I was working tech most the time-or spotting at the 330 to 660 when the fast cars ran. That was my 65 year old fat body in the hot yellow had "jumping"?-Well not exactly jumping. Climbing is a better word" LOL! over the wall frequently to retrieve parts and check track cond.

Billy Glidden was awesome as usual. Just him and his women and parrot. Other teams had crew jumping all over lining the driver up etc.  But Billy does a perfect style burn out every time-backs up and stages alone and puts it on them!!

I love that 10.5 sh*t! Would like to try it myself. I think?

 Was anyone on this board at 66 Sun for the burnout contest and see the guy in the truck afterward doing one outside the wall in the unauthorized area with his woman posing on the tool box :?:  He finally popped his tire before security could stop him.-but the staff got mad because of safety and he blew rubber all over the starting line. He got jerked out of truck by officials and hauled to race control to face Chris and perhaps get arrested. His truck was hauled off by 66 wrecker and impounded. I do not know what happened to his dolly! She was prob. going to get bail$$$$

The fans and media loved it! I'm sure pics will show up in mags and possibly here!
It has been quite a ride!

AJ I'm sure you appreciated the cool front that came through around 1:30 or so on Sunday. Had to be hot out there track-side.

My pal Scott Christy runner upped in Super Pro with his Chevy II. He usually runs 10.90 stuff, and just finished 3rd in IHRA Div 3 Hot Rod (10.90) points for the season. He ran it wide open at Rt 66 going high 9.90's, and has a 1.80 Glide I built in the car.
