Photos From The Road

This VW is at Randolph's place, way in the back. I want it but the guy who owns it says he's gonna put it on ebay...nice one, not a Super...exactly what I've been looking for...some day I will have this.

This view has the stray female Collie that showed up a couple of weeks ago. She's smart. I said "sit" and she sat. Then I said "Stay" and she stayed. Then I walked back and said "Turn around and look at me" and she turned around and looked at me...I named her Celine. Celine Dion...

There's some guys over on Martin Luther Kind Boulevard who have this Super Street Camaro. They were on their way to the track today with their Winnebago pulling it. Must be a points meet or something this weekend. Nice hot rod. They were friendly guys and asked all about Draglist...

Right around the corner from Randolph's place is this guy's yard. There are some very old cars in there, but the one I recognized was this '65 Falcon coupe, apparently with no engine, but the body and frame are all there...would make an excellent resto job. Like Rand told me, "If you want to buy that, let me get it for you...if YOU walks in there, he's gonna need 5 grand for it. But if I walks in there, he'll need around $375 for it, know what I'm saying?" Rand cool. He knows the game and he plays it well. Cheers, WC1

speaking of Winnabago's.....the Motorhome close to the Bug (which looks pretty cool BTW) would be an excellent acquisition for your future race rig.....

Early this morning on the way to work I stopped and snapped these 2 gems in a guy's front yard...

When I got to Randolph's place, I took this photo of the Eibach Racing Van, which runs, but needs a resto job. Cool E150.

On the way to the Grantham Project in Rand's truck, I took this pic of a '48 Chrysler sitting in a guy's carport.

On the way home, I stopped back by the place where that Falcon was yesterday and there is a late 60s-early70's 'Stang Coupe on the other side of this guy's place...Cheers, WC1

That's right, 'Gate! Grantham Way...well, over here, Mr. Grantham lives on Tavenor Avenue...Darnell Grantham, his wife Marilyn, and sons Darnell and Ian. They are a totally cool family. They've taken me in as one of their own and treated me like visiting company and I'm laying tile in their hall or painting their front door jamb or staining their cabinets and he hangs out with me and chats every time I go over there. Heck, I shoulda took a picture of his Cadillac STS...it's a 2000 diamond-white factory custom car...absolutely beautiful and it's a holy terror on the road...WC1

Sorry about the webshots thing, Rapid. I'm using a free account there right now and they might have stopped me at 1MB total...50 hits in the first week, so I'll have to swipe wife's Discover card and sign up for their Premium deal...or go back to Photobucket...about the same price...I had a good thing with Photobucket and I let it go when I didn't need it anymore at one time. I'll crank this thing up again next week. Yeah, I thought about Peggy when I saw that Mustang, Billy. I'll get that back up again in a paid album soon. Right now $$$ is very, very tight...my gig money goes into the bank...instead of staying in my wallet...it's down to stuff like that...so when I can, I will gradually rebuild my mojo as the budget will allow...Cheers, WC1
