Hey BP, Pete's talking about a little blurb on page 7. It mentions Scott and da boys testing and us Draglist fans gathering. Neat!! 8)

While you are on that front page, look for the video downloads link. When you get there click on the "Eddyville Wheelie" clip. Listen to the guy watching it, hilarious!!!

It has nothing to do with our race.

Wes Buck, the editor/co-owner of the magazine is the same Wes who was the Eddyville Track Mgr last year. He was the guy we originally set up the draglist event with last Winter.

He is a good guy and that magazine has been a great one to read. This issue has a nice story on Vern Moats also.

"Rapid Randy Baker and the Nitro Madness crew were at Eddyville Raceway Park on July 15th., doing some testing during the "Draglist.com" Nationals. This event brought racers and fans from all over the country to southern Iowa's beautiful ERP 1/8-miler"....
That is a quote from page 7...Drag Illustrated...

To all of you who cannot be there, I will try to make up by cheering extra for Randy and Nitro Madness.
That photo in Drag Illustrated of Nitro Madness was by this old guy, Wes just forgot to give me credit. Sigh, the life of a poor photo wannabe. LOL

Thanks for the quote, Pete. Very cool! And thanks for the photo, Al! Hey, I've been there. How about researching and writing a feature story for a major glossy monthly and they forget your byline or even a credit at the front under the contributors section!!! Oh well, just another unsung hero. bp

It's a great shot, Al! And BP, yes, you have been unsung, but your praises are sung amongst your subjects here...I know how that feels, too, from seeing cars whose graphics I designed racing at NHRA events and all the credit went to the agency and the paint shop. The agency thanked me and that was cool...but guys like Rapid and BP and the rest of us all acknowledged my artwork as the genesis of the project, and as far as I'm concerned, that's all that mattered. Have fun at the WFANs, Iowa Al, and thanks for cheering for Rapid and the team on our behalf! Wish I could be there, too...WC1

I think it was that same picture I used for the back view of Rapid's '57 Chevy body concept, Al...hope that's OK! Cheers, WC1
