2006 World Fuel Altered Nats--Results!

Postby Rapid Randy Baker » Sun Aug 20, 2006 8:25 pm

The first ever WORLD FUEL ALTERED NATIONALS was completed this past Saturday at Eddyville Raceway Park in Oskaloosa, Iowa. 14-cars from all over the United States made the trip to see who would be the king of the hill at the end of the weekend.

The Friday night qualifying session was rained out. Saturday brought cloudy skies and cool temperatures. There were a few mini-showers off and on throughout the morning and into the middle of the afternoon. At 3:00PM it became evident there was no way to get in a complete elimination ladder. The drivers meeting was held and decided to run a modified Chicago style format. There would be 1-qualifying session. The 4-quickest cars would come back for the 1st round. The final pair would advance to the final.

1st qualifier.

Group,
I was there as promised and have sent photos to Bill to post.
The racing was good despite the weather and damp track and Randy and Sean Belt made an extra pass which was great.
Randy had his hands full on both passes and did a masterful job.
