R.L. "Wildman" Peyton

Just got word from Hap (his brother) that R.L. "Wildman" Peyton has passed away in Florida.
R.L. race AA/FD and was a character. He once broke down coming to one of my fuel meets
and hitch-hiked to it and told me "Jack, I promise I would be here, so I am here"!

The movie is coming along fine, Hap told me. For some great reading get the book about R.L.

Back in the day, Hap was the 16-year-old crew-chief. He is now a songwriter in Nashville.
Thanks R.L. for making racing exciting back in the "good ole dazes" and R.I.P

Rest in peace, R.L. You were more than just a racer. The sport needs more men like you now. WC1
