Monkey Davey Jones RIP

Postby B Duke » Wed Feb 29, 2012 4:26 pm

Lead singer for the 60's pop group died from an apparent heart attack. I have no further to add. He and the rest of the group provided some fun music in the mid 60's. As a 10 year old, I -ilke so many others of that age group-relished the thought of being the "Fifth Monkey."

Yes, they were great. Rest in peace, Davy. The legacy of the Monkees will live on forever. WC1

Saw Davey and the Monkee's at the Oakland Coliseum...GREAT SHOW. Judging from the "Oncore" shouts and somebody having to physically remove Davey from the stage...He throughly enjoyed performing. He literally had tears in his eyes as the guy toted him off the stage....I don't think he wanted to leave yet. RIP, Davey!
