Along with Stevie Ray Vaughan, Johnny Winter, Derek O'Brien and Freddie King, one of the all-time great Texas Blues guitarists. Low-key guy, minded his business and pretty much kept to himself, out of the limelight. I saw Bugs play live twice and he was the real deal, folks. Sorry he suffered, but at least now it's over. Rest in peace. WC1

Got to see Bugs twice myself in Tyler and in Commerce. Bugs was low keyed for sure wearing his famed Superman shirt and old shorts on stage. One of the few guitar players to beat SRV in a cutting contest among other guitar greats.

Fitting that they have the memorial at Ben Wheeler, a small town that is just a dot on the Texas map. They used a have the occasional reunion concert of Mouse & the Traps there at Ben Wheeler. Mouse Weiss was a good guitarist but not the caliper of Bugs. RIP Bugs.
