As with all sports broadcasters, there were and are a lot of great ones, but he was the best football announcer ever, in my opinion. His style put the game in your head like he was the guy doing the thnking for you.
Rest in peace, Pat, and thanks. You were truly great. WC1

Pat was a very good announcer. Better than the long winded talking boring ones that they have now.
