The king of the con men...arguably the most notorious white-collar criminal who ever lived, a Texas legend. His antics were big-time headlines here for decades. I can't judge him or say he was a bad man; he was just famous for being Billie Sol Estes, like Sheriffs Will Loessin and T.J. Flournoy with the Chicken Ranch in LaGrange or Judge Roy Bean's Law West of the Pecos or Ken Lay and Jeffrey Skilling from the Enron scandal in Houston. Rest in peace. Texas will never forget you. What is truth and what is legend with Billi Sol Estes is real gray. I think Bill Sol Estes liked it like that! If Billie Sol Estes said the sky is blue on a cloudless day, you would have to say "Are you sure?" :mrgreen:
