You'd have to have been here to know the greatness of this man. "Luv Ya Blue" galvanized and united this city in a common celebration of happiness and hope back in the late 70s and it all happened with one man at the center of the phenomenon...O.A. "Bum" Phillips. There will never be another like him. His son Wade is the defensive coordinator for the Texans and we love him, too, but Bum was a hero of the highest magnitude in our city. He turned Houston into one big family. May he rest in peace. WC1
