A very sad day for drag racers losing one of Drag Racing's greatest Bud Faubel. He was a
fighter jet pilot during the Korea and Viet Nam wars. He was also a retired airline pilot
and continued drag racing during all of these times. He was also a champion ballroom dancer
with his lovely wife Barbara. He also raced in NASCAR and was with Curtis Turner when he
landed a plane in a town to get some refreshments.
A book is coming on his exciting life by his wife.
R.I.P my ole friend.

A great man indeed who was always kind to me and my kids as we visited with him over the years. bp

I talked to Bud quite a few years ago at one of Bruce Larson's Barnfests. What a super fellow and talked like he had known me for many years. May you rest in peace Mr. Faubel and my condolences go out to Barbara and his family.
Be kind to whomever you meet, because everyones fighting some kind of battle.
