We'll be remembering our Friends' Son Steven, who lost his life during Marine training exercises earlier this week. He would have been 21 yesterday. Visitation is this Thursday w/ funeral services Friday. Some things are just hard to understand.

That's really hard to hear. Farewell and thank you for your service, young man. bp

Thanks BP. Our Marine comes home tomorrow. We are asked to line the streets when the motorcade arrives to show our support for the family.

Yes it was BP. I've been to many veteran's funerals, but this is the first active serviceman's funeral I've been to. The color guard gave me chills, every move so precise.

3 shots of the precession, there were groups of people everywhere all the way to the cemetery, about a 40 mile trip.

Sorry, These are P&S photos through the car glass.

Gary, Sharon and I want to thank you for those pictures on this Lord's day Sunday morning. The first picture with
all of those young kids holding their hands over their hearts brought us both to tears. So many of our young
people that sacrifice their lives for us and so many people in our country who don't realize what this means.
We often take our freedom way to lightly until it hits home and our hearts are touched or even broken by
the loss of a life.
Our Founding Fathers while bringing the Constitution to fruition looked upon it as an event that was actually
"influenced, guided and governed" by the hand of God. Today's society is taking all those freedoms and
distorting them to fit their needs, to bend the rules or influence judgement in their favor even if it means
not what the Constitution stated. It saddens me to see our judges and government representatives bow
to the pressures of special groups when they should be upholding the Constitution that they swore to abide by.
If we as a country don't start a path back to the fundamentals set forth at the birth of this Nation we shall all
lose what we have at the present. Think about it. You are directly responsible for your children's future.

A good read is "The 5000 Year Leap."
