NMR LEAVES READING WITH CAREER BEST NUMBERS

Postby F/C Girl » Mon Aug 20, 2007 2:19 pm

MOHNTON, Pa. -- At the 23rd annual NHRA Toyo Tires Nationals at Maple Grove Raceway, Nancy Matter, driver of TheMusic.com/The Who Top Alcohol Funny Car, finished up this weekend in the fifteenth position after only two rounds of qualifying.

"Since qualifying was cut short this past weekend, we used our third qualifying tune up for first round" said Matter. "I had no idea what we ran on that pass until my team got to the end of the track and although Marty and the Parker Team ran their career best numbers against us which ended our weekend, we were still so happy with our progress of career best numbers again and the improvements we've made in the right direction. The best thing of all is that our performance is better than ever and we're doing this without hurting any parts".

"We would also like to say a big Thank You to the Tasca Family, Frank Manzo and the Division 1 hospitality. We were very warmly welcomed to the North East by All the teams which was great. The Tasca's were our neighbor's this weekend, and they really helped us out a lot, what a great bunch of people and racers".

Matter, especially thanks Tom for this weekend who spent a lot of time with them on the phone over the weekend. She also thanks her crew: Jeremy Mitchell, Chris Collins, Eugene Rowson and Ryan Matter.
Matter's Team will be competing next weekend at the Lucas Oil Division 3 race in Bowling Green, Kentucky.
