I guess I haven't updated here in a bit.
So after our 'debut' at Arlington last month we did take the car out to Bremerton for a Friday afternoon T&T. Car ran well and was able to drive it on to the trailer at the end of the day, and off the trailer to the garage when we got home. Going by past experiences that is a huge success for me! Nuthin' busted!
Car wasn't as fast as I thought it would be but didn't do too bad. On my best run I had a hose clamp come loose so I had to shut off at about 1000', but it ran a .154 60', 7.16 @ 98 at 1/2 track, crossed the stripe with an 11.51 @ 96. I just don't think there's any 10's in this package, but there might be some 11-teens in there. I'm still running the out of the box tune on the injection as Spud Miller set it up and that appears to be a very safe setup. Come the spring I'll start making tuning passes to see where it wants to be.
But this coming weekend is going to be fun. The Totally Awesome Missus Murff and I had already decided to run the car one more time before bagging it up for winter, at Pacific this Saturday. Then I see that Slick Vic is going to be there with the Vega. Now I am really stoked! Couldn't go to CHHR to see him run, now he's coming
'To A Dragstrip Near Me' to put the hammer down. I get to see history being made. Camera's will be rolling.
Oh yeah, here's a clip of the pass where the clamp came loose. It dribbled some at the starting line, you can see the puddle under the car. I got lucky.
