The Black Monte Carlo

Postby Doug » Wed May 17, 2006 3:23 pm

Well, BP named it..
Black Mamba...
Sounds sort of ominous, like it should be a fast car.. Maybe someday. :)

Anyway, I am going to get the new block and rotating ass'y. on the 26th.

I am still short a valve train and heads for the new motor.

For the time being, I have decided to get the old junk motor back together and freshen it up with a new cam and lifters.
i don't know why the head gasket popped but that old motor sure is nasty inside.
Everytime I turn a wrench on it, i am covered with black yuck.

That will make me appreciate the new one that much more.

If any of you are at all interested, I am going to replace the carpet and the headliner as well. I have never done a headliner before I can post pics if anyone cares. :D

More to come...

Ohhhhhhh noooooooo....
No barret jack-the-price-upson car here...

Just going to buy the head liner from OPGI and see if I can get it looking decent.

The carpet should be a snap.

The day I brought her home.

I'll try to get some interior pics this weekend if I have time. I would really like to get the old motor back together and running.
